Re: Localisation

Can you explain the reasoning for the first point? Isn't the very core of PH tied both conceptually and technically to Win32 at a fundamental level? Why would we want to avoid the use of Win32? It's not like you're going to port PH to Linux? He means avoid the Win32 API, Instead only use something ...

Re: Inline code bbcode?

hello world foo As I suspected. P won't do, since P isn't an inline element, but a block-level element. (Aside from not being designed for code). Wouldn't it be fairly simple to add a short tag like 'tt' or something that expands to <tt> or <code> in phpBB's configuration? Done ;) [php] word [/php]...

Re: Inline code bbcode?

hello world foo ah, cool! Could you make the font a bit bigger though? (Relative to the text around it, that is) Ideally though, as information theory would suggest, making the bbcode shorter for such a common bbcode would be nice :) Perhaps: 'tt' (corresponding to the html tag name) or similar. BT...

Re: Code font CSS too small.

Hmm, Should be fixed now ;)

Checkout this post for some bbcodes I've been trying out, for example [php] will show php code, [c++] [java] [delphi] etc... Just quote a post to see the bbcode ;)

Re: Module Load Count

Unloading a module doesn't always unload the module unless its counter reaches 0 That's why PH sets the load count to 1 before unloading the DLL. PH could have a "Force Unload" option to force the unloading of a module? Logically, DLLs are not shared between processes. DLLs don't get loaded "global...

Module Load Count

The MODULEENTRY32 structure contains two fields, GlblcntUsage and ProccntUsage for showing the global or process load count of the module. PH uses the LDR_DATA_TABLE_ENTRY during module enumeration, it contains a LoadCount field (I believe this is the global counter GlblcntUsage) Unloading a module ...

Re: CreateProcessNotifyEx

Is this really a big issue? Right now polling is actually the most stable method. E.g. what if a *lot* of processes get started/terminated within one second? That would cause PH to go crazy. With polling PH simply ignores those processes. Not really, I wouldn't mind being able to use it with PH1 bu...

"Zero Day", Novel by Mark Russinovich

CreateProcessNotifyEx

Process hacker should utilize the PsSetCreateProcessNotifyRoutineEx or CreateProcessNotifyEx routines for Process Start/End notifications instead of polling.

This would reduce CPU utilization and memory allocations.
