Re: Run as Administrator upon Start when I log on

Hello, the -hide parameter doesn't seem to work. It launches always in the main windows open.

The -hide parameter requires tray icons enabled otherwise it won't start hidden.

Re: OpenProcess Windows 10

call OpenProcess(PROCESS_QUERY_LIMITED_INFORMATION.. ) in csrss return ERROR ACCESS DENIED. Why? I only use QUERY_LIMITED_INFORMATION, no ALL_ACCESS or other.. I must have DEBUG PRIVILEGE even for this? OS is Windows 10. The ACL for the csrss.exe process doesn't allow query_limited access for anyon...

Re: Nightly: Start all services collapsed and always start as admin?

I've set "Always start as administrator" in the Advanced tab of the application shortcut, but putting my PC to sleep, then resuming, brings a regular-user window of PH, not one with "Administrator" on top. This is a Windows feature not a Process Hacker feature. I wouldn't know why it doesn't work a...

Re: CPU Usage

“Enable cycle_based cpu usage” has been checked Task Manager doesn't calculate the cycles when determining CPU usage so you won't see that issue when using Task Manager but you will see the same issue with Process Explorer. You might need to disable the cycle based cpu usage on the machine when it ...

Re: Games couldn't start bacause of process hacker

I can't open games with Battleye, EasyAntiCheat, etc Are you running an old version? I haven't seen an issue with the latest versions for over a year. I already deleted process hacker, but it still said I need to close process hacker. The kprocesshacker.sys file also can't be deleted from my comput...

Re: Add GPU memory summation when the process tree collapses.

This was fixed in the nightly builds. Enable the "Include usage of collapsed processes" option on the settings window to aggregate the GPU utilization and memory usage: https://wj32.org/processhacker/nightly.php

Re: Protect Process Hacker against viruses (window title + process name)

Hi. Some viruses just disable or suspend PH when you try to run it on infected PC. I was helping ppl with virus removal and for the last 3 months almost every malware/virus/miner tried to stop PH process, even if i tried to rename executable file. I regularly get emails about these issues and have ...

Re: Is there a way to get the PID in the firewall tab?

it seams that FwpmNetEventSubscribe does not provide that at a first glance, what a major fail on MSFT's side, why wouldn't they provide that?! The BFE (Base Filtering Engine) is lower in the stack than processes and firewall rules are properties of the ethernet header and the data frame (TCP/UDP) ...

Your DLL was probably blacklisted by VAC. If you can inject into notepad then its not an issue with Process Hacker.

Re: bug in 3.0.2231

I've added support for DoH (DNS over HTTPS) for improved DNS hostname lookup privacy/security. DoH fixes the issues caused by deep packet inspection (currently used by all Australian ISPs and many others) that intercept, hijack and return forged DNS results. You can enable DoH from the options windo...
