Re: Fortnite doesn't allow Process Hacker

I assume you have rebooted as well.

It sounds like it might be some other program causing the problem.

Until users are willing to stop paying companies that tell you what you can and cannot run on your computer, they will continue to do so.

Re: Unacceptable performance issues

I've been running PH for several years, and have never seen PH cause the problems you are talking about woob. If you are getting such low performance, what process is using the CPU? I.e. do you see PH using 100% of 1 cpu? FWIW, cpu usage on many cpu monitors running on windows doesn't show the class...

It could also have a deny ACL for a group that includes your userid, like 'Everyone', 'CONSOLE LOGIN' or 'INTERACTIVE'. I saw such an ACL on a game-anti-user process that was intended to keep every type of user from interacting with that process in any way. Pretty ugly. It's been a while since I us...

Re: games detect process hacker ):

You also have to not run PH, while you are in the game, at least in some games, detects if you enter PH and immediately kills the game. Some games don't print a message telling you what the offending program is, and just exit (64-bit BladeandSoul). I noticed microsoft's malware detector always launc...

Re: Fortnite doesn't allow Process Hacker

I had no luck in removing kprocesshacker from memory in the '2' series. Only way I was able to pass 'XIGNCODE' scans was to turn off the kernel driver then exit PH & re-enter (verify that the setting to not use driver was saved and is still set to not load/use it). Reboot system. Similar problem...

p.s. - wondering if they are sabotaging software as well as scanning your computer for things they consider "malicious"... A few other problems i've seen with wellbia. As part of their propaganda about protecting you from malware -- they monitor every program you start. They monitor your u...

FWIW, I also found that XignCode has 2 hidden streams attached to it: > ll total 5068 -rwxrw-rw- 1 28 Jan 26 16:41 XignCode_{4A705BBE-C39C-4059-9658-2F0F8F0A4F12}.stream* -rwxrw-rw- 1 5185536 Jan 26 16:41 XignCode_{B6B3D3B5-E6DA-4ac3-B20B-7AD145E0AF58}.stream* Ishtar:/h/streams/2> sha1sum * 956b60dc...

Re: Xigncode anti-cheat

don't suppose there is any progress in randomizing the exe and driver names like malware scanners have to do to avoid malware detecting them?

Re: Xigncode anti-cheat

it gets worse than it simply disallowing coexistence. If your prog (PH or ProcessMonitor from sysinternals -- sort of an uncle to PH) loads a driver -- then, later, even if PH and PM are not running, it will claim that they are because they have drivers in memory. It seems to be the case that driver...

Re: Xigncode anti-cheat

what service? the only kprocesshacker I saw was kprocesshacker3.sys which was the driver. I rebooted after disabling the driver to make sure it was cleared out of memory. Now, igncode "only" kills the game should I re-enter PH -- but since I have it set to not use the driver, I can run the...

Re: Xigncode anti-cheat

oh you can believe I contacted support. And what do you mean that " xigncode should tolerate PS"?
It doesn't tolerate the running program without the driver if that was what you meant?

Re: Xigncode anti-cheat

BTW, this one of the replies from the game support (tried wellbia.com, but they haven't answered). Xigncode kills the game if it finds either the driver OR the program now. I don't know why they changed their classification -- must have found it on some cheaters machine. ----------- Mae (Blade and S...

Xigncode anti-cheat

This wasn't a problem before, but the malware writers (disguised as game security Software) XIGNCODE by Wellbia.com are picking up kprocesshacker.sys as malware (they call it a suspicious file, but kill off the game upon detection). Before, there was a check on program startup for some banned softwa...

Not much, good thing I investigated to figure out the exact problem. Then again, what's the point in confusing comments, or did your comment have a point?

Re: more than 64 thread support

I think there was a suggestion about enhancing this some time ago...though it didn't have process groups in the mix at the time. Still, showing overall cpu usage as 100% * total cpu seconds / real seconds can be very useful, since if the program can only use 3 threads or cores, you will see the same...

Re: How do I knock down a process, then make it stay down until I let it up again?

FWIW...sounds like you have a process that is invoked by some other means than the normal service manager. Ex. Task Scheduler. If you set the process start to 'manual' (also sometimes called 'Demand') and it continues to restart, something else is restarting it. Other restart possibilities besides t...
