Bug: UserNotes Plugin not portable? usernotesdb.xml always in initial directory?

19 Jan 2017, 08:35

According to the doc I created a file (resp. move the file)

C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\Process Hacker 2\settings.xml

to the installation folder (and rename it to):

D:\tools\PrcHacker\ProcessHacker.exe.settings.xml

in order to make Process Hacker portable.
I expected that all Plugins obey this portability and create their own preference file in the installation folder as well.

Much to my surprise this seems NOT the case.

UserNotes Plugin continues to create and modify its preferences file in the initial directory:

C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\Process Hacker 2\usernotesdb.xml

How can I tell UserNotes Plugin to use "usernotesdb.xml" in the installation folder as well?

Sorry, I should have mentioned this in your other thread

Open the Hacker menu > Plugins > UserNotes > Options

Change:
%APPDATA%\Process Hacker 2\usernotesdb.xml

To:
usernotesdb.xml
