I doubt that's the reason.
Both apps wake up all idle hard disks upon exit, regardless where they save settings.
They actually run from a separate ssd on a windows OS that runs purely from ram.
Hacker wont check the idle hard unless the "disk" tab is selected and even then only if there's actual activity on those disks.
It doesn't wake up the disks at all through normal operation, just wakes them up on exit with no reason i can see.
