Move settings.xml to PH installation directory possible? usernotesdb.xml purpose?

15 Jan 2017, 10:43

I would appreciate to keep settings and program folder together (e.g. on a USB stick).

Therefore I would like to move the default folder C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\Process Hacker 2\

to the PH installation folder. Is this soemhow possible?

How can I tell PH to search (at first) in its installation folder for these settings files?

BTW: What is the prupose of the usernotesdb.xml I found in this directory?

Yes, just move those files to the installation directory and those files will be used instead

That file is for saving the process affinity and priority settings plus any notes you add to the process Comments tab.

Sorry, this didn't work!

After playing a while and searching around I found a comment that I have to rename it additionally to

ProcessHacker.exe.settings.xml

Mind the dot after "exe".

Do I have to do the same with usernotesdb.xml?

After having done this I observed no UserNotes features any more.
