HardwareDevices

20 Apr 2015 13:53

Note
This plugin was originally NetAdapters plugin but has been superseded by the HardwareDevices plugin. If you still have the NetAdapters plugin installed, please remove it.
The HardwareDevices plugin monitors performance of specific disk drives and network adapters via the System Information window.

You must enable the disk drives and network adapters for monitoring via the Hacker menu > Plugins > HardwareDevices > Options:
HardwareDevices_Network.png
HardwareDevices_Network.png (11.57 KiB) Viewed 16661 times
HardwareDevices_Disks.png
HardwareDevices_Disks.png (8.45 KiB) Viewed 16661 times
Once enabled the adapters are visible on the System Information window:
HardwareDevices_Sysinfo_Disk.png

Thanks very much, I think there could be option to disable Network graph and keep this, as this graph provides better information

You can disable the other graph under Plugins > ExtendedTools > options:

For now... The next version (v1.2) should show a lot more information ;)

A thing which is irritating is the color of these graphs. They look like the CPU graph.
I think the color should be the same as the network graph included in ExtendedTools.

The net adapters plugin is already included in PH. If you can't enable it under "Hacker" -> "Plugins..." and the corresponding DLL doesn't exist then you maybe didn't choose to install it during the installation.

It's included with v2.34 and above by default. ;)

It would be nice if the Extended Tools plugin allowed to selectively disable the Disk or Network graphs independently of each other.
Doing this would allow us to hide the network graph and replace it with individual graphs for each network adapter while leaving the disk graph unaffected.

The ExtendedTools disk graph not very useful now that you can individually monitor disks... I was considering removing both ExtendedTools graphs, why would you still use the disk graph?

I mean just the System information graphs should be removed, not the per-process graphs or other per-process information?

Hovering over the graph gives you per process information. That's the main way in which I use it...

 This is nice. I would also like to individually turn it on/off

I see that dmex adds the nVIDIA GPU plugin into this. Can you make the gpugraph.c general so that if users contribute Intel or ATI/AMD GPU data can also use this graph?
